If your Group would like to pass around a sheet for people to sign up, the Group can elect an Intergroup Rep to coordinate this. Sign-up sheets are emailed to the Reps at least five (5) days in advance of each month. Choose as many slots as you think your group members can fill; Group slots are given randomly. There is a 90-day sobriety requirement to answer phones.
Orientation is required for all volunteers who would like to be of service and answer phones. Orientation is offered on the 3rd Monday of every month, from 7 – 10PM at the Intergroup office, and takes about 10 – 15 minutes. If you would like more information on orientation, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
IAFC is an A.A. Service office that involves partnership among groups in the Fairfield County area, just as A.A. groups themselves are partnerships of individuals. Established to carry out certain functions common to all the groups, we are maintained, supervised, and supported by these groups in their general interest. We exist to aid the A.A. groups in our area with their common purpose of carrying the A.A. message to the alcoholic who still suffers.
